Abstract
This paper documents the attempt to assess teacher candidates' professional dispositions and analyze the efficacy of the tools used to measure dispositions. Teacher dispositions assessment is increasingly valued along with teacher candidate knowledge and skill assessment. The researchers analyze data from three disposition assessment tools including a candidate self-assessment, a cooperating teacher assessment, and a candidate portfolio assessment. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the efficacy of these disposition assessment tools and make recommendations for disposition assessment in teacher education programs.
