Abstract

"Communication is the key," "communication is the key to success," "without communication there is no relationship." These are words and phrases commonly used to describe the importance of effective communication. But what if I told you, that communication is as simple as looking at the shoes that someone is wearing? This presentation has been developed from working with students, faculty, and a variety of business professionals and helping them to help employees, team members, and supervisors better communicate to achieve organizational goals. The ability to predict someone else's behavior is beneficial. DISC is one of the most popular and now widely used tools for hiring, team-building, personal growth, and counseling worldwide. Each style has inherent strengths and limitations and any growth or improvement requires awareness of your strengths and limitations. DISC provides an easy way classify behavior and depersonalize human behavior, allowing participants to talk about a specific behavior without seeming to criticize a specific individual.
