Abstract

Participants will understand the concept and components of the Flex Lab as an additional but critical success resource for students in the online learning environment. This session details strategies for setting up the Flex Lab environment, managing student volume, and promoting it to students and to the College institution. It also explains a variety of activities and needs that students face in the Flex Lab throughout the semester and how to target students who most need this additional assistance to help them with overcoming individualized hurdles. This traditional presentation will be conducted by three of the current assistants currently working in the Flex Lab who collectively have taught hundreds of students in various educational settings and best understand the immediate needs our students face in the online learning setting. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their specific course needs.
