Engaging Pedagogy

Abstract

This session is a workshop on how to transform face-to-face assignments to online instruction with the same level of engagement. During this workshop three faculty members will discuss how they have transformed face to face assignments to online assignments. We will offer 6 examples of what we have done for these transformations and then we will open the floor for a Socratic discussion for all of the participants to share concerns, ideas, and successes in their own teaching. Our goal of the presentation is for faculty to leave with a sense of empowerment of how they can use online assignments to engage students and supplement their face to face coursework or online coursework.
