Abstract/Description
A study was developed to better understand the differences in employee compensation levels between service and manufacturing employees. A convenience sample of Coastal Carolina students enrolled in business classes was utilized for this research due to resource limitations such as time and money. Because of their location, the wage levels reflected by these students will be compared to the wage levels that were collected by the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics for the general population of Horry County in 1998.
