Abstract/Description
Protocols for measuring the adsorption of benzene, a known carcinogen, from solution on activated carbon at room temperature were attempted. UV-VIS calibration and time related tests demonstrated the limited solubility of benzene and its high volatility. Adsorption systems, and related measurements, of benzene must be of greater complexity for accurate control.
