Description

The roadside signage by the Beaufort County Historical Society for the Chapel of Ease on St. Helena Island. A road covered by large live oak trees is in the background. The sign reads "Chapel of Ease- To St. Helena's Church, Beaufort, South Carolina Built about 1740. Made a separate church after the revolution. Burned by forest fire Feb. 22, 1886. Beaufort County Historical Society"
