Abstract

This essay examines the nature, profile, and functioning of diplomatic studies programs in countries in the Caribbean Basin region. It analyzes the nature and profile of the academic discipline of diplomatic studies. The essay then examines diplomatic studies programs in countries in the Caribbean Basin region, as well as the nature of relations between diplomatic studies institutions and the major organs in the foreign policy systems of some Caribbean Basin countries. The essay also examines the potential effects of diplomatic studies institutions on foreign policy systems of some countries in the Caribbean Basin.
