Graduate Studies began on Coastal's campus in the late 1960s as a local site and later satellite (live video) location for the University of South Carolina Graduate Regional Studies Program. Since Coastal's independence in 1993, CCU graduate degrees, concentrations and certificates expanded within all of the undergraduate colleges, including Ph.D. programs in education and marine science.
